TASC’s Ross Cox was a guest speaker at the International Life Saving (ILS) Association’s biennial Asia Pacific Regional meeting, which was held in Singapore on 3-4 August, 2007.
An impressive group of life saving experts gathered from across the region to share information on specific issues confronting both individual groups and countries, including club development and drowning prevention.
As an affiliate member, TASC was invited to present our data on drowning and drowning prevention at two forums. The surveys Ross presented reflect visits to over 500,000 households covering over two million people, and well over 700,000 kids.
There was significant interest in TASC’s data and Ross’ presentation will be forwarded to all participants as part of the conference meeting report. To view Ross’ presentation click here.
TASC looks forward to future discussions with the ILS Asia Pacific members about the potential for more survival swimming lessons in countries throughout the region.
