TASC’s plans for expanding our presence in Vietnam are progressing well, with a new office opening in Da Nang to support a resident technical adviser due to arrive in late September.

The expansion is a continuation of the successful partnership with the Hanoi School of Public Health (HSPH). Thanks to support from our donors, we have been able to guarantee our presence in Vietnam for the next two years and move into an active intervention program in Da Nang.

The first activities to be implemented will be improving injury surveillance, safe schools and safe communities . This will be a joint project with the HSPH, working with local partners such as the Da Nang City Health Department and the local Ministry of Education.

We will continue to operate from a shared office provided by the Department of Preventive Medicine in the Da Nang City Health Department.
