TASC WELCOMES NEW COUNTRY MANAGER FOR VIETNAM

TASC is delighted to announce that Mr Ian Scott is our new TASC Country Manager for Vietnam.  As part of TASC’s ongoing commitment to Vietnam, Ian will be located in Da Nang, Central Vietnam.

Ian also assumes the role of the TASC senior technical advisor to the TASC - Hanoi School of Public Health (HSPH) child injury prevention project in Da Nang Province. This project is designed to determine the most effective means of preventing child injuries in a middle- income level developing country. With a two-year grant from Atlantic Philanthropies supporting the effort, Ian’s challenge is to work through partners such as the Departments of Health and of Education to identify local, cost effective interventions which can work in both urban and rural setting.

With experience in Australia, the Philippines, China, and Vietnam in his resume, Ian comes to this assignment from a three-year stint at the World Health Organization in Geneva. Ian was joined by colleagues from the HSPH and TASC as he settled in for the first week of his assignment at the project office located in the Da Nang Department of Preventive Medicine in Da Nang City. We hope you will join us in wishing Ian a big welcome and much success in this new role.
