TASC continued its public awareness campaign in Thailand this month, with co-founder Ambassador Douglas “Pete” Peterson addressing the Foreign Correspondents’ Club of Thailand on Wednesday October 17.
Ambassador Peterson was joined for the discussion by Professor Chitr Sitthi-amorn, Immediate Past Dean of the College of Public Health, Chulalongkorn University to discuss TASC's work and the Thai National Injury Survey, which specifically examined the situation in urban and rural Thailand.
The awareness raising event was designed to give a broader range of residents in Thailand an understanding of the significance of child drowning in the Thai community.
Copies of the report and fact sheets about the issue of child injury were distributed at the event.
To obtain a copy of the material, please visit our downloads section on the website, or contact Belinda Lawton blawton@tasc-gcipf.org
The discussion was also recorded. For copies of the DVD of the event, contact the Foreign Correspondents' Club of Thailand.
